How time flies by! It seems only yesterday that we were celebrating International Pierate Day 2013 - giving everyone the chance to eat and rate pies in celebration of this wonderful food. And yet in this last year our page views on Pierate have gone through the roof, we've had a number of radio appearances and been on both The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice and been pie advisers to BBC Sport!
But there's no letting up on the web's leading Pie Review blog! It's full steam ahead for the Pierate Ship, as we celebrate our 5th Anniversary with our:
Month of Birthday SurPIEses!
Yes, that's right - a day is not really long enough to capture all the pie eating and rating we've got planned for our 5th anniversary, so we've decided to make it a month long celebration! Kicking it all off tonight is our visit to Manchester City FC to rate their pies and add them to our PIEremiership table. Then this Friday we'll be seeing if the Punch Tavern in central London offer a knock out pie!
Added to that, we've comissioned @michlan to create us a special Birthday print (for which you can see a sneak pie-review below) and to cap it all off we're having a Birthday Pie-rty on 22nd November!
Phew! We're going to be very busy eating and rating pies - and I hope you'll join us!
