Ways2EatPie #3 - British Pie Awards

With the British Pie Awards coinciding with British Pie Week for the first time SJL interrupted his live blogging and attempted to make a video review in the middle of the commotion of the awards themselves. The pie being reviewed was a Dickinsen & Morris pie from Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe in Melton Mowbray.

Overall this wasn't a bad effort from Dickinsen & Morris. The ham and the egg complemented each other and added some variety to the filling. Perhaps the ham could have been more like the quality pork they use in their standard pork pies rather than cured ham. The ham itself would have been sickly without the egg to break it up. At £3.50 this was not bad value being enough for 2 or 3 people.
