Suggest A Pie!

While doing our best to search out a wide variety of pies for reviewing, we can't help but notice that the ocean is vast and there are plenty more pies in the sea. So that's where you come in.

Maybe you're a fan of pies too and just want to recommend a great pie? Maybe you are in the luxurious position of owning a pie selling establishment? Whoever you are, if you have pies to suggest, please don't hesitate to mention them below and we will do our best to add them to our repertoire.

Or maybe you've just eaten a pie and want to give it a review yourself. Well this space is for you too.

(Note: Pies may need to be independently trialled by a registered pierateer before being added to the full blog listings - yes, okay, this is really just an excuse for us to eat more pies - but we value the time and effort put in to help us in our quest for pie-fection!)

  2. Thanks to the generosity of our friends at the birth of our first child, we have experienced a range of culinary delights, including several pies. One, however, stood out as worth of a full review from the experts at Pierate. This was the Ragley Estate Steak and Kidney pie. Billed as 'Handmade in Warwickshire', this provided a real treat for us last night. All elements were first class, from the succulent steak, moderate amounts of kidney, excellent gravy and delicate puff pastry casing. I can't claim to have your breadth of pie tasting expertise, but I am northern and was therefore born with a discerning pie palate.
It was a gift, so I don't know how to source such a pie, but it came from Mrs Mullen, Rob, so I'm sure she could direct you...

  3. Also, I'm always driving past Mad O'Rourke's pie factory in Tipton. Surely worth a look for the pierateers? Is it as mad and Irish as the name suggests? Do they cook the pies, or just manufacture them in their factory?
